Working Principle

Pulse Generation: These tools work by creating pressure pulses in the drilling mud fluid. A pulse is generated by opening and closing a valve inside the tool, causing variations in mud pressure.

Data Transmission: Pressure pulses are transmitted through the drilling mud to the surface, where they are detected by a receiver. Information is encoded in the pulse patterns, allowing multiple measurements to be transmitted.
